Disney World

The very presence of Disney World very nearly dwarfs every other Orlando travel attraction around Orlando, or should we rather say Florida and perhaps the U.S.A. itself?

Viewed as a whole, it is so gigantic, so amazing, so enchanting and absolutely breathtaking.

It is very natural then that the Disney World is the most sought after vacation destination across the Globe. And, quite aptly, it has acquired the title of 'Magic Kingdom'. The success story of the Magic Kingdom is so imposing that a slew of similar attractions have sprung up in the neighborhood and there are different theme parks for you to visit on each day of your stay.

The Magic Kingdom has weathered itself through three decades and witnessed a social climate that shifted constantly, cultural changes, and a technological explosion that rendered the lesser places obsolete or outdated. In the midst of all this metamorphosis, Disney World has never surrendered its premier position and continues to be in the forefront of theme parks anywhere in the world.

Many people opine that the core factor which helped the Disney World remain in their number one position is their simplicity. Staying on course, true to their original vision - which was to create a place for families to gather in safe and clean surroundings to optimally enjoy every minute that they could spend together - has been heralded as the major nutrient to this long saga of success. For the veteran Orlando FL travel visitors to the Magic Kingdom, it is often a get together of old friends and for the first timers it is simply an involuntary journey into their childhood.

The Magic Kingdom has a five fold division christened as Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Advertureland and Liberty Square. The theme of each land is aligned to its title and the operation of the park itself revolves around maintaining these themes.

Connecting the different sections of this Kingdom is an extensive network of underground tunnels. The idea behind the tunnels is to prevent the guests from getting a view of the operations "behind the scenes" Yet another purpose the tunnels serve is to prevent cast members from walking through the different 'lands'. Recent changes in the park policy however allow the cast members free access to all the 'lands' in the park and the restriction on the outfit to be worn too has been modified.
