Harry P. Leu Gardens

As a must-see attraction of Orlando travel, The Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando consists of paved and scenic walkways of three miles which can take the visitors through fifty acres of gardens of southern style.

These gardens include the largest Camellia collection of America outside California, Florida's largest rose garden, butterfly garden, herb and vegetable garden, an 1880s house museum, tropical stream garden of two acres, palm, cycad and bamboo gardens.

Due to the climate of the area, various growths of tropical and temperate plants occur in the Harry P. Lieu Gardens. Regardless of the season, the garden teems with beauty and vigour. Along with the cycads, palms and other flowering trees, visitors can enjoy the vines, azaleas, tropical philodendrons and bromeliads, or take a stroll under the inspiring elms, oaks and camphor trees.

The Butterfly Garden, located in the garden's center adjacent to the cottage has more than hundred different plants which attracts butterflies throughout the year. Two types of plants are used here, the larval and vector plants as the butterflies' food source and the plants on which they lay their eggs. All these plants are labeled for the visitors to distinguish between them.
